In what activities can you lose yourself for hours?
I lose myself creating things like this challenge. The YOUnicorn challenge came about as a result of some work I was doing with one of my wonderful clients. One day she asked me if I had seen the film The Last Unicorn. I hadn’t, so I set out to do so, but then I discovered the film was a book, so I had to read the book first.
The Last Unicorn
The book (and film – which is available on Netflix) is about a unicorn who realizes she might be the last unicorn in the world, so she leaves the safety of her magical forest to go out into the big wide world to explore and find her fellow unicorns. When she leaves the forest it becomes clear that the average person can’t see she’s a unicorn, they think she’s a horse. Which means they don’t see her magic.
Over time she meets and gets to know people who CAN see her magic, and over time she reveals more and more about herself and her magic.
This fits so well with the work I do with my clients around re-discovery and being seen for who you really are, that it has inspired this challenge. I have been gloriously lost for hours developing and writing this challenge.
It has involved many things that I do in “flow”. First coaching, then reading, then writing and fully being in a space of creativity. Absolute magic. Seeing it now put out into the world to be of service to you is the cherry on the cake!
Creating this challenge has left me giggling, crying (okay, sobbing), feeling inspired and energized. I hope all of that energy is felt in beautiful ways by you.
You are a Unicorn, or as I like to think, a YOUnicorn. Some will see your magic but some will need you to boldly show it. However it comes about, your magic IS always there and must be shared with the world.
With all of my love,
